While they are world famous for their ridiculously good smartphones, Xiaomi has been in the electric two-wheeler radar recently as it has been launching a number of electric two-wheelers, mostly e-cycles in China. And this is the latest and rather an important product in Xiaomi's electronic portfolio. Named the Himo T1, the vehicle appears to be a moped and a step-through mix. The Himo T1 has been priced at 2,999 CNY (Chinese Yuan).
While Xiaomi is no stranger to electronic cycles, this is a significant offering from the Beijing based tech giant. The Xiaomi Himo T1 uses a 350 W brushless permanent magnet motor that gets power from a 14,000 mAh lithium-ion battery. The Himo T1 is offered in two power outputs - 14Ah and 28Ah. The base-variant of Xiaomi's electric moped has a range of 60 Km and the top-variant has a distance range of 120 Km in a single charge. The e-moped also has pedals just in case if the rider would want a cardio session on the way to their destination.[gallery size="full" ids="8803,8802,8801"]The Xiaomi Himo T1 sports a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers to handle the road while disc up front and drum at the rear will handle the braking. Handling the Himo T1 shouldn't be all that difficult as the moped weighs just 53 Kgs. The Xiaomi Himo T1 is equipped all-LED lighting that claims to light up 15m on high-beam and 5m on low beam. It also features a digital instrument screen that shows speed and battery range. It is also equipped with a sturdy luggage rack at the back for weekly grocery runs.
